Upcoming Concert

Hi, Reading and Eating Ladies! (Or as Jerry says, "the Reading, Eating, AND Drinking ladies")

I want you to know about an upcoming Camarada concert that I'll be presenting with my friends and colleagues Beth Ross-Buckley (flute), David Buckley (violin), and Ryan Simmons (bassoon.) It's a fine program of musical gems, some perhaps familiar to you, some perhaps new to you.

The familiar: the slow movement from Beethoven's "Sonata Pathetique", Bach's "Musical Offering", and Beethoven's "Romance in F."

The (perhaps) new: Beethoven's Trio for Flute, Bassoon, and Piano (it's like a simultaneous concerto for 3 soloists!) and Schulhoff's Sonata for Flute and Piano (it never hurts to have a bit of 20th century spice! - this piece is very tuneful and fun.)

We'll have two public performances of this program. The first is at St. Paul's Cathedral in the Great Hall (6th and Nutmeg uptown) at 7:30 PM Friday, September 26th. The second is at the Neurosciences Institute in La Jolla at 6 PM Sunday, September 28.

Tickets are $25, general admission; $15 members, seniors (65+), and students
