Hey everyone!
My friend works at United Way and her coworker, Claudia, is doing a social media campaign in honor of October being National Reading Group Month, a month to promote literacy, the love of reading and women's roles in the community of the book.
She is asking for book donations if anyone would like, new and K-12 children's books. The books will be given to a child in need. You can bring them to book club and I can get them to Claudia, or mail (regular or thru Amazon Smile you can ship to them directly) or drop it off to United Way at 4699 Murphy Canyon Rd, San Diego, 92123. They would like the books by the end of the month. (Be sure to include your contact information as she would love to send you a thank you).
She would also like a picture of us (figured we can take one of whoever can make it to book club this month or if you can't and want to send one you can email me). If you would like to share your favorite book and 1-2 sentences of what it means to you or why you love it post a photo on your social media and tag @UnitedWaySD and hashtag #NationalReadingGroupMonth. If you follow their social media pages, they will have post around topics you can engage in; such as “What’s your favorite book and why?"
