Next Reading...

It was so great to see all you lovely ladies yesterday! Welcome back Katherine!

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, February 26th at 7pm at Mariela's furnished house.

As we talked about at our November meet up, we will be reading Masters of Sex: The Life and Times of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, the Couple Who Taught America How to Love by Thomas Maier

Before Sex and the City and ViagraTM, America relied on William Masters and Virginia Johnson to teach us everything we needed to know about what goes on in the bedroom. Over the course of more than forty years, Masters and Johnson convinced hundreds of men and women to copulate in the name of science, over 10,000 sexual acts in all. They quickly became the nations experts on love and intimacy. Revealing and beautifully told, Masters of Sex sheds light on the eternal mysteries of intimacy and the American psyche.

**Note - it's a long book (it reads at a good pace) but give yourself time to read it. It's pretty interesting!

For those interested in the Showtime show Masters of Sex, here is the online info: http://www.sho.com/sho/masters-of-sex/home. Although you can't watch the episodes if you don't have a Showtime subscription, there are short videos about Masters and Johnson and info about their work. Check it out!

Lastly! 16 books are being made into a movie this year... Some of these I knew about like Gone Girl, Wild, and Divergent, but there are many on here that I didn't know about like Dark Places, The Fault in Our Stars, and This is Where I Leave You! Maybe we can read one of these next time: http://www.buzzfeed.com/ariellecalderon/books-to-read-before-they-hit-theaters-this-year
